Charles Sharp has practiced law for 55 years and has over 70 reported decisions in the Supreme Court of Alabama, 11th Circuit Court of Appeals and U.S. Supreme Court, which reflect his past trial practice. They include real estate development, zoning, medical malpractice, condemnation, bad faith, truck accidents, railroad litigation and product liability.
His current cases include business disputes, railroad litigation, Longshore Harbor Workers litigation and cases interpreting liability insurance contracts.
Mr. Sharp is admitted to practice in all State and Federal Courts in Alabama, 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, United States Supreme Court.
He is a member of the American Bar Association, Alabama State Bar, Birmingham Bar Association, on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel and past President. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, International Society of Barristers, Listed for over 30 years in the Best Lawyers in America.
Currently serves as a Commissioner to assess damages in condemnation cases in Jefferson County, Alabama.
Mr. Sharp holds an AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell which is the highest rating for an attorney bestowed by that organization.
